building a client list
If
you know somebody who books travel (flights, hotels, car rentals,
vacation packages, etc.) then you already have a potential client!
The question most often asked by unsure agents is: How will I find clients?
Our
most succesful agents are go-getters - they understand that potential
clients will not "just come" to them. They go TO the potential clients!
Spread the word that you can now offer the most competitive rates on
all travel products. Tell your family, friends, acquaintances, and
everyone you meet. Have them tell their own friends, family, and so
forth. Have business cards printed and hand them out at every
opportunity. Utilize free advertising (neighborhood fliers, ad boards
in grocery stores, free websites such as Kijiji or Craigslist). Put
together an email to all of your contacts. Advertise on social
networking sites (Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, etc.)
There are many options for getting the word out there that will not
cost you a dime! Of course, if you want to spend money on advertising,
there are plenty more options such as Google AdWords, paid newspaper
ads, etc.
